Refocus — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Refocus (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a focus and quiet-time companion built by Photizo Labs. We designed Refocus to be private by default. This policy explains what little data the app handles and why.

What we collect

On-device data. Your focus sessions, presets, streaks, notes, and reading position are stored only on your device. We do not have a server and we cannot see this content. It stays on your phone unless you delete the app, which removes it.

Purchases. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our in-app purchase provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your purchase/receipt information so it can tell the app whether your Pro access is active. It does not receive your name, email, or your focus content. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Notifications. If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered locally; we do not run a push server and do not collect a device token.

Anonymous usage analytics. To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous product-usage events — for example when a session starts or the paywall is viewed — through PostHog, our analytics provider. These events are tied to a random device identifier, not to your name, email, or your focus content.

What we do not do

Children

Refocus is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this address.
